SharingStories began working with the Wurundjeri people from the Yarra region in Victoria in 2016. Projects have been developed to support community objectives, producing media enriched cultural content and supported the utilisation of language and culture in the classroom environment. In 2016-2018, SharingStories facilitated sharing and learning through digital storytelling workshops between cultural custodians from the Wurundjeri Community with Thornbury Primary School students who produced wonderful creative interpretations of the knowledge shared.
Over the next two years, the Wurundjeri are :
- releasing a multi-touch book, Birrarung
- releasing the animation Birrarung animation narrated in Wurundjeri
- producing education resources
