The Birrarung multi-touch book features the Wurundjeri Creation story of the Birrarung, the river of mist and shadows. This tale follows the efforts of Mo-Yarra, Barwool, and Yan-yan as they carve channels to free the great waters, creating the Birrarung (Yarra River) and Port Phillip Bay. Their story highlights the Wurundjeri people’s enduring connection to Country and their sacred responsibility to care for the land and its waterways.
Created with Wurundjeri Educators Uncle Bill Nicholson Jnr, Rebecca Axford, Aunty Doreen Garvey-Wandin, Thornbury Primary School and the Wurundjeri Corporation.
